Welcome to the Shire
StarFord Shire Farms is a full working farm in Louisburg, Missouri: 84 acres of pasture, gardens, horses, and shade trees under wide-open sky. Starford Shire Events turns that land into a place to step out of ordinary life and into your story.
Sometimes that story is a Shire supper with long feasting tables, live music, and a wizard leading the way. Or it might just be your wedding, your family reunion, or your company's retreat imbued with Starford Shire magic.
Either way, you leave with grass on your boots and a memory worth keeping.

Our Signature Gathering
Each autumn, friends of the Fellowship arrive in costume as halflings, dwarves, elves, wizards, and ents for an evening of feasting, music, dancing, and fireworks worthy of a birthday party in the Shire.
Thank you to everyone who gathered with us on October 3, 2026. The tables are cleared, the lanterns are packed away, and we are already planning the next one.

StarFord Shire is a working farm and a private home, so visits are by event or by appointment. If you are thinking about renting the farm, send an inquiry and we will set up a time to walk the grounds.
Pricing depends on your date, headcount, length of event, and which parts of the farm you want to use. Send an inquiry with the basics and we will reply with a quote.
The photos show the Feast of the Fellowship. What is available for your rental depends on your event and date, and we will spell it out in your quote.

The grounds are natural grass and dirt pathways, which can be uneven. If you or your guests have mobility needs, tell us in advance so we can help plan.
